Barcelona want to meet with Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba at the end of the season to discuss a further pay cut, Marca's reliable Luis F. Rojo (4 star) reports.
Pique and Alba have contracts until 2024 while Busquets' deal expires already in 2023. At the moment, their reaction to another salary reduction remains unknown.
As per a recent report from L'Equipe, Pique and Busquets are among the five best-paid players in La Liga.
Meanwhile, all of them remain undisputed starters under Xavi despite their age.
The other captain, Sergi Roberto, is expected to leave Barca as a free agent in the summer. The parties could not agree on a pay cut with him during the extension talks.
