Assets, net worth & more: Everything you need to know about 4 remaining Chelsea buyers
The Raine Group has narrowed down the list of potential Chelsea buyers from around 30 to just four earlier this week.
They are invited to make final bids until April 11 and then the club's board will decide who becomes a new owner. Roman Abramovich will reportedly have a say in the final decision.
So here is all the basic information that you need to know about the four remaining bidders.
1. Boehly consortium
The multinational consortium includes US billionaire Todd Boehly, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and London-based property investor Jonathan Goldstein.
They are the richest bidders of all four remaining parties and are believed to be the favourites in the race to buy Chelsea.
Other assets: NBA team LA Lakers (a 27% stake with another businessman), baseball team LA Dodgers (a 20% stake).
Estimated net worth: £8.52bn (Boehly and Wyss combined net worth; Goldstein's wealth is not known but he manages £8.2bn in assets).
2. Ricketts family
The US family are the most controversial bidders. They previously made Islamophobic and sexist comments and, if this counts as controversy, supported Donald Trump financially.
Obviously, a lot of Chelsea fans do not want such people to run the club. The supporters, including the Chelsea Supporters Trust, launched an online campaign "#NoToRicketts".
The Ricketts family tried to appease the fans by making an anti-racist statement but Chelsea fans are still massively opposed to their potential ownership.
Other assets: baseball team Chicago Cubs.
Estimated net worth: £3.9bn.
3. Sir Martin Broughton group
Sir Martin Broughton is a former chairman of Liverpool. Despite his previous job with the Reds, he is a Chelsea fan.
But the former British Airways chairman is apparently a public face of the bid. The financial backing is provided by two US billionaires Josh Harris and David Blitzer. Olympic gold medalist Lord Sebastian Coe is also a part of the proposal.
Other assets: Harris and Blitzer own NBA team Philadelphia 76ers and NHL side New Jersey Devils. They also have a large (described as 40%) stake in Crystal Palace; they will have to sell it in order to become Chelsea owners.
Estimated net worth: £3.8bn.
4. Stephen Pagliuca
Not much had been heard about Pagliuca's interest in Chelsea until earlier this week. The US billionaire was the last bidder to make Raine Group's shortlist.
The details of his bid are unknown, reportedly because of the non-disclosure agreement with other parties.
Pagliuca has likely teamed up with unknown parties to make a Chelsea bid
Other assets: NBA team Boston Celtics, Serie A club Atalanta (co-owner in both).
Estimated net worth: £2.9bn.
