Xavi explains why he struggles to get along with Simeone

"Simeone understands football in a different way, that's why we don't get along well. It's not a joke, we see football in an antagonistic way, it's not a criticism of him. He is a great coach, he has won a lot," Xavi has told the media.

Diego Simeone seemingly still holds grudge against Xavi for his 2016 words when the present Barca boss said that Atletico Madrid's style of play didn't suit big teams.

After the 4-2 loss, Simeone said that the Catalans were not better than the Madrid side despite finishing the game with three points.
