Xavi: 'Dembele is a player I like. I heard a lot of fake stories'

"Dembele’s contract ends in June and I see him happy. Even when he was not called up he was exemplary," Xavi said in his presser for the Napoli game.

"The decision to renew depends on him, but to me he's a player I like.

"I head a lot of fake stories about him, it's the opposite.

"He is taking care of himself, he is professional, he trains well, he is positive with the team and for this the club has decided to have him back."

Dembele is expected to start the game against Napoli with Ferran Torres set to be rested.

Dembouz has looked like a happier player since the contract saga ended, with Barca choosing to play him instead of send him to the stands.
