Saudi Women team play first-ever official match — beat Seychelles 2-0
The Saudi Arabia women's national football team played its first-ever official match against Seychelles on Sunday.
The game ended 2-0 in Saudi's favour, which goes to show the quality of the women players involved.
Although it was a friendly game, this is a historic moment - and result - for the team managed by German coach Monica Staab.
Al-Bandari Mubarak scored the first international goal for Saudi women while Maryam Al-Tamimi added another one from the penalty spot after half-time.
