Rangnick insists Ronaldo won't be bothered by hostile Atletico Madrid reception
When asked if the hostility from Atletico Madrid fans will help Cristiano Ronaldo thrive, Ralf Rangnick told MUTV: "We will see.
"Again, he’s got enough experience. He’s used to this sort of hostile atmosphere in his career so it shouldn’t impress him a lot.
"For us, it’s about how we perform as a team. He cannot do it on his own."
The Manchester United boss added: "We have to perform on a high level as a team, like we did against Leeds, knowing the quality of Atletico is high."
Ronaldo broke his goal drought against Brighton but failed to get on the scoresheet in the 4-2 win over Leeds.
He's got an excellent record at the Wanda Metropolitano, however, and is expected to give Atleti a hard time.
A win would give the Red Devils an upper edge in the Champions League Round of 16 second leg at Old Trafford.
