Ralf Rangnick 'would love' to become permanent Man United boss, board's stance revealed
Ralf Rangnick 'would love' to become the permanent manager of Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one source.
The interim boss is currently expected to transition into a two-year 'consultancy' role at the end of the 2021/22 campaign due to a clause in his contract.
Meanwhile, the Man United board want to be '100% sure' on the next permanent appointment heading into the final months of the season as they look to finish in the top 4.
The Red Devils' chiefs believe the club needs 'a shock, something different, something fresh’ and it remains to be seen whether Rangnick can be that person. Still, no decision has been made yet.
