Mane set to have stadium named after him in his home city after Afcon heroics
Sadio Mane led Senegal to their first-ever African Cup of Nations title and the people of his country will never forget this achievement.
As per RMC, the Liverpool forward is set to have a stadium named after him in his home city of Sedhiou after his heroics in the tournament.
Adboulaye Diop, the Mayor of Sedhiou, said (via Anfield Watch): "I would like, through this decision to give the name of Sadio Mane to the Sedhiou stadium, to translate the recognition of all the worthy sons of the region.
"Sadio Mane honoured Senegal, the region of Sedhiou and all of Casamance. Mane amply deserves this gift."
Mane has been responsible for several charitable acts in his home town in the past and has not forgotten his past despite all the success he has achieved.
All we can add here is to congratulate Mane - as the mayor says, he amply deserves this honour.
