Man United expected to pay Mason Greenwood full salary despite rape and assault charges

Mason Greenwood remains on Manchester United's payroll despite his arrest on the charges of rape and assault.

Last week, the Red Devils issued a statement suspending the 20-year-old after his girlfriend Harriet Robson posted damning evidence of his actions.

However, according to The Athletic, Man United are still expected to pay Greenwood's entire salary, believed to be close to £100,000-per-week, for the time being.

At the same time, the Red Devils are said to be 'wary of affecting any legal process at the current moment in time'. Instead, the Old Trafford chiefs want the Manchester police to do their job.
