Klopp wants Milner to sign new contract as soon as possible

Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of James Milner, praising the versatile midfielder today: "What he does is so valuable. And I make a point of keeping my language in the present tense because he continues to do it, day in day out.

"He has been constant during my time at LFC & I was thinking the just other day that I can't imagine what it would have been like to do this without him."

Milner is one of the very few players who have been at the club since Klopp's first day here, back in October 2015.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Klopp wants his player to sign a new contract extension as soon as possible.

The offer on the table is a one-year deal until the end of 2023 - it's up to Milner now if he wants to agree to these terms.
