France president to campaign for Kylian Mbappe to stay at Paris Saint-Germain
France president Emmanuel Macron will try to convince Kylian Mbappe to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, according to El Mundo.
While Macron himself is a fan of Marseille, he will try to reach Mbappe through former France president and PSG supporter Nicolas Sarkozy.
Macron believes that having Mbappe in Paris would be beneficial to the country after previously hailing the forward's importance to Ligue 1 and French football.
This level of political support could be a massive issue for Real Madrid who look to sign the 23-year-old on a free transfer in the summer. Mbappe, meanwhile, remains undecided.
