fan claims Kante is Chelsea legend equal to Lampard, Terry and Drogba

After Chelsea's win in the Club World Cup, a strong case is being made for Cesar Azpilicueta as a Chelsea legend as he's the first player in the club history to win virtually every trophy.

However, as Twitter user ExpectedChelsea argues, there is another Blue who deserves to be ranked among the club's biggest legends ever.

"Hot take - N'Golo Kante is in the same bracket as Lampard, Terry and Drogba in terms of being a Chelsea legend," the fan has tweeted.

"Has won the league, POTY and every European trophy. Great big game CV and had the best run of form I've ever seen at Chelsea. His legacy is ridiculously strong.

"It's a shame we haven't given him the tools to be more competitive. It's not a surprise that our last good league season came with Matic - unflashy but the epitome of consistency and reliability.

"A player of NG's level deserves more than just 1 league title here. Hope we fix it."
