Dynamo Kyiv manager Lucescu sends defiant message amid Russian invasion of Ukraine
Dynamo Kyiv manager Mircea Lucescu has spoken about his decision not to leave Ukraine amid the invasion from Russia.
He said: “I will not leave Kyiv and return to Romania, I am not a coward.
“I hope this war started by people with no brains will be stopped as soon as possible. I never thought it possible that this war would start.”
The Ukrainian Premier League has been suspended after martial law was declared in the country.
Ukraine have confirmed that Russia started a ‘full-scale invasion’ of their country on Thursday, with hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers being killed in the attacks.
Russia have deployed their army into the Ukrainian cities as other nations work hard to try to get the situation to deescalate quickly.
