Both Mane and Salah hope to feature against Leicester: latest on forwards' returns
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah want to return to action with Liverpool as soon as possible.
According to the Guardian, the Egyptian is already back in the UK and will join a training session with his LFC teammates on Tuesday.
The Reds will assess the forward's physical condition before the Leicester game to determine if he could be included in the squad.
As per the Daily Mail, Salah himself pushes to start the game.
Mane is still in Senegal, The Times' Paul Joyce reports. The country's president declared Monday a day off after the national team's victory in the African Cup of Nations and Mane joined the celebrations.
It would be more difficult for Sadio to return on time for the Leicester game.
Liverpool are set to face Brendan Rodgers' side on Thursday, February 10 (KO 7:45 pm).
Mane and Salah faced each other in the AFCON final on Sunday, with Sadio scoring the decisive penalty in the shoot-out and bringing the first-ever AFCON title to Senegal.
