Barca 'on alert' as Guardiola meets Araujo representatives
Pep Guardiola has had a meeting with Edmundo Kabchi, the owner of Spanish club Albacete and one of Ronald Araujo's representatives, Diario Sport report.
The exact purpose of the meeting is unknown, but Barcelona are said to be 'on the alert'.
Araujo had been linked with Manchester City, and he recently rejected the first extension offer from the Catalans.
The centre-back is currently one of the lowest-paid players in the squad, and he wants to receive wages similar to the likes of Ansu Fati, Pedri and Ferran Torres. It's understood that Barca's first offer was below that, but talks will continue.
This term so far, the Uruguayan has been a key player for Blaugrana, making 24 appearances and scoring twice.
