Ancelotti speak on Brazil internationals ahead of Bilbao, reveals Hazard and Bale could start
Brazil played Paraguay on Wednesday at 1:30 am Spain time after which Casemiro, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo travelled straight to Madrid.
With Real Madrid set to face Athletic Bilbao on Thursday in a crucial Copa del Rey game, Carlo Ancelotti was asked whether they will be able to play.
"We have to evaluate the South American players. If they're fine they'll travel, even if they're tired. They might play in the second half," Ancelotti said.
"Vinicius and Rodrygo are 20, not 60 like me (laughs), they will surely recover in time for tomorrow."
However, the coach said that he has other options to start, especially on the wings.
"Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale as starters tomorrow? Yes, it could be, they're perfectly fine and ready to play. But also Marco Asensio, he's fully recovered."
Casemiro didn't play against Paraguay, while Vini and Rodrygo featured for 61 and eight minutes respectively. Casemiro and Rodrygo trained with the rest of the group today while Vinicius did individual work, Cadena SER claim.
