Tuchel Plays Down Changing Tactic For Lukaku
Chelsea German Tactician manager Thomas Tuchel has ruled out any changes to tactic to aid Lukaku performances.
It is absolutely the wrong question because it is focusing on one player," Thomas Tuchel told a press conference when asked whether he considered changing Chelsea's tactical style to accommodate Romelu Lukaku.
"He is a key player and we want him to be a key player but this is for me the wrong approach.
"This is what we do by the way constantly, for any player. It’s a team sport, not about ten players serving one player.
"This is not Chelsea or football. Every player serves one team, this will never change."
Lukaku's performances have been under scrutiny ever since he completed a club-record move in the summer, but even more so after his scandalous interview with Sky Italia.
Since returning to the squad, the Belgian scored one goal in the FA Cup win over Chesterfield.
He failed to find the net in both legs of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Tottenham, as well as in the league clash with Man City where he was particularly ineffective.
