Potential dates for Brentford and Brighton fixtures revealed
A nightmare run of fixtures could be in store for Manchester United after the postponement of the Brentford and Brighton games.
The two fixtures, which had to rescheduled following a massive Covid-19 outbreak at Old Trafford last month, will have to played later this winter.
January
One of the games is likely to take place on Tuesday 18 or Wednesday 19 January. Man United have a free midweek between the games against Aston Villa (Saturday, January 15) and West Ham (Saturday, January 22).
The winter break
It remains to be seen whether the winter break, scheduled to start on January 23 and end February 7, will take place amid all the postponements. Should the Premier League scrap the hiatus, the games could be play between those dates.
February
Tuesday 15 or Wednesday 16 in February are also potential options for Man United, Brentford and Brighton. Football Association have officially scrapped the fourth round replays, leaving the midweek free for Premier League sides.
