Ousmane Dembele claims world-class player, not happy with Barcelona's new contract offer
Ousmane Dembele has informed Barcelona of his desire to leave the club for free in June, reports the reliable Gerard Romero.
The 24-year-old considers himself a 'world-class player' and is not satisfied with the terms Barca have presented in the new contract offer.
For starters, Dembele would have to reduce his wages considerably to continue at the club - something that's not sat well with the forward.
As a result, he doesn't want to leave in January but is eager for a permanent exit once his contract expires.
Romero adds that Dembele's salary demands are something Barca can't afford at the moment.
Dembele, who has endured an injury-ravaged spell at Camp Nou, has made just six La Liga appearances under Xavi this season.
