Newcastle United have reportedly made move to sign Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile.
"The talks are ongoing between Newcastle and Monaco for defender Benoît Badiashile and the player wants to make the move to Newcastle.
"We are still awaiting confirmation on how long he is out or because you’ll remember on Sunday, he suffered an injury in Monaco’s game at Nantes.
"One said yesterday two to three weeks. Another source is saying six weeks and someone else around four weeks.
"I’m just wondering whether that will have an impact on whether Newcastle will be able to do a deal in this transfer window or not.
But there is definite interest and the talks are ongoing."
