Liverpool's training centre affected by Covid outbreak, Carabao and FA Cup matches in danger
As per the very reliable Paul Joyce, 'it is believed' that Liverpool's AXA Training Centre has suffered from a covid outbreak.
The 'training has been affected' but the centre has not closed down yet. Liverpool are set to travel to face Arsenal for the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg on Thursday.
A formal request to cancel the game has not been sent in yet, Joyce adds. As it stands, the game is set to go ahead.
Further discussions between the EFL and Liverpool are likely to take place as the scale of the outbreak becomes clear, the report states.
If the game against Arsenal has to be called off, then Sunday's Anfield clash against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup 3rd round will also likely be postponed.
At this moment, it has not been mentioned if any player has tested positive. We will have to wait further news on the subject.
