La Liga game between Real Betis vs Sevilla abandoned after crowd throws dangerous object at Joan Jordan

A Copa del Rey clash between Real Betis and Sevilla - one of the most intense rivalries - had to be suspended even before the half-time whistle.

With scores tied 1-1, a Real Betis fan launched a dangerous object attacking Sevilla player Joan Jordan.

It hit Jordan's head and the player had to receive emergency medical care on the field.

The game was eventually called off and will be rescheduled to a later date.
