Chesterfield send out wholesome message to Chelsea after Stamford League visit

Non-league side Chesterfield scored one goal at Stamford Bridge last night that made the scoreline 5-1. However, they celebrated as if they had won the Champions League!

That showed how much the goal meant for them. To come to the house of the European champions as a non-league side was one of the best days in the club's history and they sent out a message of thanks to the Blues after the game:

"A massive thanks to @ChelseaFC for the way they looked after us today! From the moment we walked into the stadium, we were given everything we needed and more. They were absolutely top class and we are so thankful for everything! What a day for everyone!"

We thank our opponents yesterday for the good game and the spirit they showed despite the loss.

We hope they have success in their league and can make it to the upper divisions soon.
