Barca's 'secret plan' for Dembele revealed by reporters

Barcelona unspoken secret plan for Ousmane Dembele is to extend his contract and then sell him, as per multiple reports making the rounds in Spanish media (h/t Diario Sport, Mundo Deportivo).

In contrast to what's been said by Xavi, Barca's attack will not be built around Dembele. Particularly after the club already signed Ferran Torres, and with Ansu Fati and Memphis Depay returning to match fitness.

Dembele and his entourage are asking Barca for upwards of €40m before the striker pens an extension. Ostensibly, Barca are unwilling and most-likely unable to pay that much.

Dembele has only scored one goal for the Blaugrana this season.
