Ancelotti name Barcelona 'weakness' which Real Madrid took advantage of in El Clasico win

Speaking after watching his Real Madrid side nudge out a 3-2 win over Barcelona, Carlo Ancelotti said: “We had commitment and humility.

“We planned the game well and we managed to capture it on the pitch: defend well and go on the counterattack. We had moments of difficulty, as is normal against strong rivals,

“We tried to find the rival’s weakness, which in the case of Barcelona is the lack of balance. And in this sense, the ability of Vinicius or Asensio and that of the midfield gave us the occasion to score and to have chances.”

Madrid were rampant on counter-attacks in the El Clasico and scored multiple goals because of Barca’s inability to defend in those scenarios.

However, despite the loss, Xavi Hernandez’s side put up a valiant effort which pleased the manager himself as well.
