Ancelotti discuss why Hazard 'suffered' against Alcoyano, gives advice to Eden
Eden Hazard cut a sorry figure against Alcoyano. He created a few chances for his teammates and ended up providing an assist for Asensio's goal, but his involvement was limited.
The Belgian was restricted to just 38 touches throughout 78 minutes of action.
"Players of quality suffer more in these types of matches. Hazard tried hard and played as a No.9 for a while. Everyone did what they could with their characteristics," Carlo Ancelotti told the press conference after the Alcoyano win, as quoted by Managing Madrid.
"But, he and Rodrygo and the players with that quality tend to suffer more in these kinds of matches.
"I think Hazard needs to have more confidence in one-on-ones, but little by little it’ll come back.
"He is better physically compared to a few months ago."
