Ajax ‘ignores quarantine rules’ to fly 4 Covid-19 positive players to the Netherlands
Ajax have shocked the Netherlands government by flying in four Covid-19 infected players to the country from Portugal.
The players in question remain unnamed but had tested positive in Portugal.
According to rules in Portugal, whoever tests positive for Covid-19 has to be quarantined immediately until they produce a negative report.
The Dutch government also has a strict rule that anyone infected with Covid is not allowed to fly into the country.
Ajax tried to flout the rules by flying in these players via a private jet, but even that is illegal in the country.
It remains to be seen whether the Dutch giants are punished in any way for this shocking act.
