Netherlands Eredivisie defending Champions Ajax has this morning continued negotiations with Tottenham over a deal for Steven Bergwijn.
An offer of around £15m (€18m) was rejected by Spurs a few days ago but Ajax are expected to make another.
Bergwijn was not in the squad for Tottenham’s League Cup semi-final second-leg defeat to Chelsea last night due to the ongoing uncertainty over his future.
As was previously reported Bergwjin will welcome a chance of escape bfrom the club.
