'We were a bit sloppy': Rangnick rates Man United's display vs Young Boys
"I was fully aware before the game that this team haven’t played together," Ralf Rangnick told BT Sport after the Young Boys draw.
"The first half hour we did OK. We had a few errors but we should have been two or three-nil up. We didn’t score and were a bit sloppy.
"Obviously after we conceded we were not defending high enough and were not proactive, and we could have also conceded two or three. If the final score was 3-3, nobody could have complained.
"Also the good things, quite a few debuts, game time for players who need it. I wouldn’t say I was happy but it was OK."
Rangick made 11 changes to the team that started the Crystal Palace game at the weekend and, as the German himself admits, it shows.
Fortunately, the game did not mean much as far as the standings are concerned: United had secured to top place in their group and will learn their next opponent in the Champions League on Monday.
