Some Real Madrid players are expecting Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger to join the club next season, as per the Telegraph’s Matt Law.
He told the London is Blue podcast: “There are players at Real Madrid who fully expect Antonio Rüdiger to become their teammate (again). Real Madrid is clearly a very attractive option to him.
“To have one more huge club in his career in a country where he hasn't played and a challenge he hasn't undertaken, and the potential for a different title that he hasn't won or competed for is clearly very attractive to him.”
Los Blancos are reportedly confident of their chances of signing the German defender on a free transfer next summer. They could even make him the highest-paid defender in world football by offering up lucrative wages.
Rudiger has made 23 appearances for Chelsea this season, helping them keep 12 clean sheets and scoring 2 goals in the Premier League.
