Pereira discuss Solskjaer tactical approach at Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has defended sacked manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Brazilian midfielder, who has been on loan at Flamengo, went into details about the famous victory away against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and specifically the preparation Solskjaer did for the match.
"The manager, Ole, told us what to do, and he made a plan," Pereira told Oh My Goal. "He said, 'We're going to play like this.' We changed our formation. We're going to play like this. We're going to wait for them, and we're going to score a goal in the first few minutes, and we scored a goal in the first few minutes.
"During the game, we saw everything he said was happening. We were like looking towards each other on the pitch and we were like, 'you know, it's happening! We can actually go through. ' I am starting to believe it.
"When we scored a goal, the whole stadium just went quiet. They started to feel the nerves too. That's when I think that we grew in the game. When we came into the dressing room, he said, 'Calm down, everything is still under control, we can do it.'
"Then when the goal came, the penalty for Rashy, it was amazing. The feeling I can not describe. After that, we went into the changing room and I looked on my right side and it was Sir Alex, everybody, Paul (Pogba), Pat (Evra), everyone was there and we were just jumping around.
"Still now, I get goosebumps. It was the best night of my football career for sure."
