Newcastle frustrated amid Kieran Trippier pursuit
Newcastle are desperately looking for new potential signings, with Atletico Madrid and England right-back Kieran Trippier thought to be high on their wishlist.
However, their transfer campaign is complicated as they believe that other clubs are willing to take advantage of their newly-found wealth.
"There is a price for Newcastle and a different one for every other club," a senior source at the club told The Telegraph.
"But we know what needs to be done, the list of targets is there and we are working extremely hard to get them finalised as quickly as we can.
"Everyone knows we need players to help the ones we already have and the earlier we get them in January the better."
Newcastle have been acquired by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund which is chaired by the country's de-facto ruler Mohammed bin Salman.
As they are by far the richest owners of a Premier League club, there's no surprise that other clubs' demands are increasing when they are dealing with Newcastle.
