Mbappe: 'It was a bit disappointing I couldn't join Real Madrid last summer'

"My failed transfer to Real Madrid? I was a bit disappointed at first, but I'm Parisian, I'm home with my family. But I wanted to discover something else, something new," Kylian Mbappe said in his interview with Thierry Henry, as quoted by Canal Supporters.

"During the Euros, I was asking myself a lot of questions. I spoke a lot with my parents, I knew that I wanted to leave, they told me to focus on the pitch.

"My future? It's not an easy decision. Whatever happens, I will play for a big club."

Meanwhile, Mbappe's contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of the season. Although the Parisians hope that the Frenchman will have a change of heart, Kylian is expected to join Real Madrid for free.
