Mane claims Salah is currently best in the world

Sadio Mane was asked in an interview if Salah is the best player in the world right now and the Senegalese didn't pull any punches in his response.

Mane said: "Can you name one player better than him right now? I think he's the best right now, to be honest.

"Every single week, he shows it on the pitch and so you can't disagree with it. He is the best player.

"He makes us defend all the time, he's always scoring for us in every game and we're just lucky to have him right now."

Any lingering doubts about the Salah-Mane relationship have been squashed now, the Senegalese clearly has nothing but respect for his fellow winger.

Salah's 24 goal contributions in the league speak for themselves but it's always nice to see his teammates appreciate the level at which he's performing.
