Man United's most expensive XI compared to Man City's: £100m of difference
Manchester United have spent big to sign players like Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho but in terms of overall valuation, Manchester City are still ahead by a cool £100 million.
As seen on Transfermarkt, the Red Devils' most expensive XI is worth £579.6 million. Here's what it looks like:
Most expensive United XI: Henderson, Shaw, Varane, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Fernandes, Pogba, Rashford, Sancho, Greenwood, Ronaldo.
City, on the other hand, are worth £681.3 million when they field their most expensive starting XI. And it looks like this:
Most expensive City XI: Ederson, Ake, Laporte, Dias, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Foden, Sterling, Grealish, Silva, Jesus.
City won the Premier League last term and are strong contenders to win this season as well.
United, meanwhile, are yet to win a trophy since lifting the Europa League with Jose Mourinho back in 2017.
