Lewandowski defends the use of VAR after two UCL semis and a quarterfinal mistakes from referees
VAR may not be popular with most of the fans and players, but Robert Lewandowski has his reasons to support it.
"I lost two Champions League semifinals and a quarterfinal because of refereeing mistakes," the Bayern Munich striker said, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Maybe we would have gone to the final and won it. I think VAR is a good thing if it's used well"
In 2017, Lewandowski accused referee Viktor Kassai of making it 'impossible' for Bayern Munich to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final.
A year later, there was another controversy when those teams faced each other in the semi-final, with Real Madrid going through yet again.
