'If copying Messi gestures is an art, Ronaldo is a Picasso': Fans react to Cristiano's fresh goal celebration
We don't usually see Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating goals in a variety of ways as his 'SIU-U-U!' has become a signature one.
After converting a penalty kick against Norwich City, however, the Portuguese pointed his fingers to the sky – something Leo Messi does all the time after scoring (as we know, Leo dedicates them to his late grandmother).
We don't know exactly what Ronaldo's celebration means, but some of the reactions to it are pure fun.
"This guy wants to be Messi so bad, I don't like it."
"If copying Messi's celebration is an art, then Ronaldo is the Picasso of it."
"In this picture, you can see Ronaldo wearing #7 as a mark of respect to Messi's 7th Ballon d'Or and also doing the Messi celebration. While Messi's name has 5 letters that honour Ronaldo's five Ballon d'Or's. Yet they have no respect between them???"
"This is literally Messi celebration. You do realise Messi is bigger than football, just shows Ronaldo is a clear fan and can't stop thinking of Messi while Messi is having fun with his family."
"Famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo doing the Messi celebration. This influence is unmatched."
Cristiano has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in the Premier League this season.
