Chelsea have been going through some contract negotiations that have felt more drawn out than necessary and the reason for that might have been revealed.
As reported by Simon Stone of the BBC, Chelsea have reported losses of £145.6m after tax for the year until June 30th, 2021.
The club will continue to rely on Fordstam Limited for its continued financial support.
Fordstam Ltd. is Chelsea's parent company, which means Roman Abramovich will need to continue bankrolling the club's debt.
The Blues have been affected by the pandemic much like any other club, and club CEO Guy Lawrence will be tasked with improving these results for next year.
