Chelsea and Liverpool ready to bid for Araujo if Barca's offer doesn't convince him
Ronald Araujo's contract at Barcelona expires in 2023 and the club is working to extend it. However, in order to convince the Uruguayan, Blaugrana will have to offer a much bigger salary than he's currently earning, Diario Sport's reliable Lluis Miguelsanz reports.
Araujo's salary is one of the lowest at Barca, as it's said that some of his teammates earn ten times the amount the centre-back does.
If the Catalans are not able to convince Ronald, Chelsea and Liverpool will be ready to bid for him next summer when he will have just one year of contract left. The two Premier League sides are also willing to offer him much better personal terms.
Still, it's said that the 22-year-old is open to continuing at Camp Nou.
This term so far, Araujo has played 14 games for Barca, eight of them from the start, and scored a goal. When fit, the Uruguayan is usually a starter.
