Cabral, Torres and 10 others Barca's latest transfer with probability ratings
The January transfer window is often where we see a lot of panic buys, as clubs try to salvage their season by reinforcing their squad.
Barcelona has indicated they have what it takes to sign a player in January, but who could that be?
Here are the potential Ins and outs of the club this winter.
INS
Arthur Cabral
Barcelona had courted Cabral recently. However, a move for the free-scoring Basel striker is on hold, according to Sport.
Barcelona may have their sights on other targets.
Probability of signing: 4/10
Ferran Torres
Barcelona and Ferran Torres have agreed on a deal, but Manchester City are yet to sanction it.
Unless Barca sign him on loan, the club could spend up to €50m to sign the striker. Players could even be included in the swap deal.
Probability of signing: 7/10
Adeyemi
Getting Adeyemi in January remains a big challenge. Barcelona are interested, and so too are Dortmund.
The player will cost a lost less than Torres - €30m. But his unavailability in the winter market may force Barca to seek other options.
Probability of signing in January: 3/10
Timo Werner
Werner has struggled for form at Chelsea and may be open to finding a new lease of life elsewhere.
The German is linked to Barcelona, but it remains if the Blues will let him go on loan. Like Adeyemi, Barca need at least €30m to buy him.
Probability of signing: 4/10
Raheem Sterling
Barca's interest in Sterling seem to have cooled, after Torres' news seized the front pages.
However, there's no ruling out anything, Laporta could pull a miracle and bring Sterling in on loan.
Probability of signing: 4/10
Denis Zakaria
Barcelona want Zakaria to join on a free transfer in the summer, as per Spanish sources.
It's almost certain that Barca will not make a move for the central midfielder in January.
Probability of signing in January: 2/10
Cesar Azpilicueta
With Sergino Dest coming under intense criticism, Azpilicueta's links to Barca continue to intensify.
Nevertheless, Barca would rather sign him as a free agent in 2022, than spend money on him in January.
Probability of signing in January: 2/10
Hakim Ziyech
Ziyech is another inconsistent player at Chelsea being linked with a move to Barca.
Barcelona may be interested in a loan deal for the Moroccan. Anything else will likely turn Laporta off.
Probability of signing: 3/10
OUTS
Frenkie de Jong
The latest is that Manchester United want Frenkie de Jong.
If they're truly wiling to pay, it may be hard for a cash-strapped Barca to turn it down. They have other midfielders.
Probability of leaving: 4/10
Philippe Coutinho
Coutinho has already started his first match for Barca and is looking like starting the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
Despite putting him to good use, Barca may still be open to selling him, not just for his form, but bulky salary.
Probability of leaving: 6/10
Samuel Umtiti
Umtiti's departure from Barcelona looks closer than farther. The Frenchman continues to wallow on the bench at Barca.
For the sake of his career he may go somewhere else and play more regularly, or risk getting fired by Barca.
Probability of leaving: 7/10
Ousmane Dembele
Dembele wants to leave Barca, that's the latest with Dembouz.
It's money driving him and his agent. Unless there's a complete change of heart, Ousmane will leave Camp Nou at the end of the season.
Probability of leaving: 8/10
