Barcelona sign talented winger Fabio Blanco - Biography and Age

Barcelona have completed the signing of talented Frankfurt winger Fabio Blanco, according to Diario Sport's Toni Juanmarti.

The deal is for two-and-half seasons. He will start off by playing for Barcelona B.

Age

Blanco was born on February 2004 - he's just 17. He was born in the same year as Gavi, but older.

Best position

The teenager has played most of his games as a right-winger.

With a powerful right foot, he likes to play from the right, where he can whip in crosses and create chances.

Blanco can also play behind the striker, where he can be a pretty good playmaker.

Comparison with Ferran

Blanco has been compared with Barca new striker Ferran Torres because of his playing style.

Also, there's the Valencia link, as Blanco played in Valencia youth team before moving abroad.

Real Madrid wanted him

Real Madrid showed a keen interested in signing Blanco last year, according to Diario AS.

However, it's Barcelona who indicated a stronger intent to sign the forward.

Blanco is yet to play a senior game for Frankfurt.

However, he's been a regular fixture with their under-19. The Spaniard has played 8 games, scored twice and registered an assist in his 8 games so far.
