Barca to terminate Demir loan in January to avoid paying €10m

If Yusuf Demir plays one more game for Barcelona, the Catalans will have to pay Rapid Wien €10m, making his move permanent, the reliable Javi Miguel of Diario AS says.

However, Barca believe that the best way to avoid paying the sum is to terminate the 18-year-old's loan deal in January.

Initially, Blaugrana loaned Yusuf for Barcelona B and did not plan to count on him as much. However, due to the multiple injuries, the Austrian has already accumulated nine games for the first team, three of them from the start.

However, Demir is not part of Xavi's plans for the future. In fact, he's missed the last five leagues games for Barca.
