Wilfred Ndidi Thanks Ranieri Ahead of Watford Clash
Wilfred Ndidi has sent Claudio Ranieri a ‘thank you’ message for bringing him to the King Power Stadium.
Ndidi was Ranieri’s final signing as the Foxes manager, after joining the Foxes for £17m from Belgian side Genk in January 2017.
The Nigerian midfield enforcer was gradually emerging as a top talent prior to his move to England, but the trust shown in him by former Foxes boss Ranieri allowed Ndidi to show his talents to a wider audience.
Since his multi-million pound move from the continent, Ndidi has made 188 appearances for the Foxes and added an FA Cup winners medal to his personal list of achievements.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s meeting, the first time Ranieri will return to the King Power Stadium since his surprise exit in 2017, Ndidi said: “I’m very grateful to him because he gave me the opportunity to come to Leicester and play in the Premier League for the first time.
“That was a really important move in my career, so I’ll always remember it. Joining Leicester City has been fantastic for me. It’s a great club.” November 27, 2021 at 05:43PM
