Villarreal Defender Pau Torres Slam Referee For Not Awarding Penalty Against Barcelona

Following Barca's 3-1 win against Villarreal, the hosts' centre-back Pau Torres slammed the refereeing during the game.

"We [Villarreal] are the only team who are yet to be given a penalty. Barca just never concede one, impossible. The VAR spend 10 minutes to watch the episode of Barca's goal but they just don't look at a potential penalty."

Indeed, some of the referees' calls seemed controversial, although we got away with it in the end.

In particular, Gerard Pique seemed to have handballed in Barca's box in the first half – but the episode wasn't even paid attention to.
