Sergio Agüero will retire from football after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia, a condition where the patient's heartbeat is irregular.
This is according to tier-one reporter Fabrizio Romano, who states that Barcelona have been informed.
The Catalans signed Aguero over the summer but it appears his tenure has come to a tragic end.
A press conference is expected around next week to make the decision public.
