PSG chief Leonardo breaks silence on Mauricio Pochettino to Man United rumours

PSG sporting director Leonardo has denied reports of Manchester United contacting them regarding a move for Mauricio Pochettino.

Speaking to AFP on Friday, Leonardo explained: "We do not want Pochettino to leave. He never asked to leave and no club contacted us in relation to him.

"We have lots of respect for Zinedine Zidane, for what he did as a player and coach, but I can affirm very clearly that there was no contact or meeting with him.

"It is ridiculous to imagine that a meeting with Zidane could have taken place in a big hotel, in Paris, in front of the world."

PSG were believed to have earmarked Zidane as a replacement for Pochettino but that's clearly not the case.

Ralf Rangnick is set to take charge of United as an interim manager but it's been widely reported that the club will make a move for the current PSG boss next summer.
