Michael Carrick praises Man United team for Chelsea draw

When asked about the drawing 1-1 with Chelsea, Michael Carrick said: "Disappointed actually.

"When you are in front in a game like this to have it taken away from you. Immensely proud of the players and staff in a difficult situation.

"That was a fantastic all-round performance, we defended well and I cannot fault them one bit.

"I feel for the players... They gave absolutely everything. A lot has been made of this pressing thing, we press high up the pitch in pretty much every game."

The Red Devils settled for a point at Stamford Bridge, thanks to a goal from Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United remain 12 points behind the Blues, who have maintained their spot at the top of the Premier League standings.
