Joe Aribo’s Stunning Goal Lifts Rangers In SPFL

Joe Aribo scored a stunner as Glasgow Rangers defeated Livingston 3-1 in the snow as the Light Blues extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The Super Eagles midfielder steadied himself to receive an Alfredo Morelos flick-on before clipping a first-time left-foot curler over goalkeeper Stryjek.

The victory ensured a winning start to the Scottish Premiership campaign for Giovanni van Bronckhorst after they stuttered in the Cup game some days ago.

With Leon Balogun out injured, new Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst named Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey in the centre-half with Aribo lined up in midfield alongside Kamara and Arfield.

It was the performance of Aribo that undoubtedly caught the eye of the Rangers supporters.

He is growing into a superb player for Rangers and he could yet get even better as his career progresses.

The 25-year-old has scored four goals and claimed three assists during 2021/22 season and he’s growing with each passing performance.

He now has 21 goals in the blue of Rangers to go alongside his 18 assists for the club during his 116 first-team appearances. November 28, 2021 at 03:17PM
