'I wanted to make it clear': Xavi reveals what he told Dembele in private chat

"I had an individual talk with him [Dembele] and I wanted to make my position clear. I count on him in this project and not only this season. I want to have him at the club for many years. I hope he extends the deal, but it depends on him and the club," Xavi has told the media.

Ousmane Dembele had a great 25-minute cameo against Benfica, creating a few scoring chances and showing how pacy he is.

However, there are doubts about the Frenchman's Barca future. According to the latest reports, the club suspect that his agent is trying to find a new club for his client.

Dembele's current deal with Blaugrana expires in July 2022.
