'Draw would have been a fair result': Ancelotti reacts to Sevilla victory
"We played against a very strong rival," Carlo Ancelotti told the press after the Sevilla game.
"They scored first and we had a hard time after. When we scored the equaliser we started playing better.
"I think a draw would have been a fair result but also I think Real Madrid didn't deserve to lose."
Sevilla were better for around 65 minutes, dominating possession and creating many chances to score. They scored early on and continued to push forward. Courtois bailed Madrid out on several occasions.
Yet Madrid's quality and determination saw the Whites turn it around and win the game. Benzema pounced on Bono's mistake to equalise shortly after the half-hour mark and Vinicius produced a brilliant individual effort to put us ahead a few minutes before the final whistle.
